These pages were designed for the most recent versions of I.E. and Firefox. Periodically we'll check to see which browsers are most popular with our visitors and try to accommodate them. However, we can't promise that all our pages will display properly in every type, particularly older versions.

If your browser is set to block animated gifs, you may want to change that setting to view the gifs on our pages. A Firefox browser set to block pop-up windows can also stop gif animations. To remedy this, click on 'Tools' then select: Options. Next click the 'Content' tab. If you have the 'block pop-windows' box checked, click the 'Exceptions' button and add the web address you'd like to exempt. Then close the window and click ok to save the changes.

Site Navigation

The biggest challenge we faced was setting up the site navigation. We wondered, "Should we use a conventional universal menu where a link to everything can be found on every page?"

This presented a problem as we needed to accommodate pages that contained wonderful lists such as the Ohio List, Review List and the new Regional Map List. These pages contain good stuff that deserves to be presented clearly. In the end we realized that scrunching them into small print or cramming them into long drop down menus that unleash submenus that scatter all over your browser window is not the way to go.

To keep things concise, clear and as clutter-free as possible, we had to use a different approach. We ended up with a hybrid of old and newer layouts. To learn more, please visit our navigation tips.
