Review

The Olde Muskingham Trail follows the west bank of the Tuscarawas River opposite the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath. It extends south for about 6 miles from Canal Fulton, at cherry Street (Rt. 93), to Forty-Corners Road just north of Massillon.

In the past, those who have ventured onto this trail have found it lightly used and somewhat neglected (see comments). This is not surprising since the popular towpath parallels the Muskingham from the opposite river bank.

Joe Chase reported that a fresh layer of crushed stone was spread over the pathway in 2004, however the trail is still not recommended for narrow-tires.
