Adopt-A-Trail Program For 20121/30/12 by Ohio BikewaysFrom local.cincinnati.com, "If you are one of the many bikers, hikers or runners who enjoy the nearly 50 mile-long Little Miami State Park [trail], you may notice a cleaner and safer environment this year. "A non-profit organization, Friends of the Little Miami State Park (FLMSP), has enlisted volunteers in its Adopt-a-Trail program to maintain and to be a watchdog for the entire length of the trail. And they are looking to complete more ambitious projects in the future." LMST To Reopen April 1 In Clark County2/14/11 by Ohio BikewaysThe Little Miami and Prairie Grass Trail sections in Clark County are scheduled to reopen on April 1. Clark County Section Closes Nov. 1811/24/10 by Ohio BikewaysClark County announced they are closing the 10.7-mile trail section that passes through their county effective Nov. 18. No timeline has been given as to how long it may remain closed. They are doing the same with their 5.6-mile section of the Prairie Grass Trail. Reports say that "No Trespassing" signs will be posted, but that people disregarding those signs will supposedly not be targeted for trespassing. Trail Section Closing Sept.149/11/09 by Ohio BikewaysA portion of the trail will be closed south of Corwin for about 1 month to address erosion along the trail embankment. Springfield Trail Section Closed8/12/09 by Ohio BikewaysFrom the Springfield News-Sun: "Part of the Little Miami Scenic Trail at the Pleasant Street bridge near downtown Springfield will be closed for the next two to three months beginning today, Aug. 10, due to construction, according to the Springfield City Engineer's Office. Detour signs are posted giving directions to use city streets to get around the construction area." 25-Mile Section To Close For Repairs5/30/09 by Ohio BikewaysA 25-mile segment will be closed Monday, June 1 for the resurfacing of 11 bridges along the bikeway between Xenia and Morrow. Barring bad weather, the work should be completed by Friday, June 5th. Trail Section Reopens12/28/08 by Ohio BikewaysRepairs are complete and the trail has been reopened between Richland and Hedges Roads in Greene County and north of Corwin. A local trail group, Friends of the Little Miami Scenic Park, has been formed to help with trail maintenance and related concerns such as the recent trail closings. Some trail sections and facilities are closed due to cuts in the trail maintenance budget which has plummeted to about 25% of previous levels. The closures consist of two segments:

Southern Trail Extension9/15/06 by John HessThe trail continues 2.5 miles or so south of Milford to the Little Miami Golf Course. There is a new trail head called "Avoca." The parking lot at Avoca is very large and they have restrooms and a water fountain. The trail crosses the Little Miami one more time before it gets to the golf course. Trail Specs:Length: 74.9 miles - width varies 10-12' Condition: Overall Very Good, though some older sections may be a bit bumpy Facilities: Water & restroom stations at Avoca, Loveland, Corwin, Xenia Station & Yellow Springs. Food: Fast food places in Xenia. Most of the smaller towns between Milford & Xenia have at least one small food stop right along the trail. Parking: In Milford, Loveland, Xenia Station and most towns along the trail.
