Mad River Extension Moving Forward

According to DaytonDailyNews.com, "Construction could begin this fall on one of the final links of bike path to connect downtown Dayton to the Wright State University/Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area, according to Five Rivers MetroParks officials.
"The Dayton City Commission is set to vote Wednesday on whether to grant the parks an easement for the bike path, through a city-owned wellfield along the Mad River in Eastwood Park."
The city commission approved the easement.

Class: A1++
Length: 18 miles - approx. 12'-14' wide
Condition: Very Good
Facilities: Eastwood Park, Dayton-Xenia Road Trailhead (with drink machines), E.J. Nutter Park, Beavercreek Community Park, Xenia Station.
Food: A couple of places in Xenia are right along the trail as well as in Beavercreek.
Parking: Eastwood Park, Dayton-Xenia Road Trailhead at Stedman Lane (a stone's throw from I-675), Grange Hall Rd Trailhead, E.J. Nutter Park, Beavercreek Community Park, Xenia Station.
